Dried Cordyceps militaris

Cordyceps militaris is an entomopathogenic fungus (in the wild, it grows on insects!) with a delicious chicken stock flavour, lending itself well to replace meat in soups and stews. We use vegan methods to cultivate this mushroom, which is used folk-medicinally to boost energy and drive, treat lung, kidney and liver disfunction, promote longevity and may even improve metabolic oxygen use and athletic training performance. Our dried Cordyceps militaris fruiting bodies can easily be rehydrated in warm or hot water by soaking for 20-30 minutes, multiplying to roughly five times their dried weight. In a resealed bag, they have excellent shelf storage-life, providing  a convenient way to keep and add their delicious flavour and beneficial nutrients to practically any recipe!
