Dried Whole Shiitake

Shiitake (Lentinula edodes) is a delicious gourmet edible mushroom with a full umami taste and a satisfyingly meaty bite. These survive the dehydration and rehydration processes very well, resulting in a great way to include these mushrooms in your diet and store them long term without the need for refrigeration - an airtight container in a cool, dark place, e.g. kitchen cupboard not near a heat source, will be enough for these dried mushrooms to last for a year or more!
